Day 11 – Mataranka Springs 10th July (Thursday)

Today we had a really short drive to Mataranka homestead national park. It took about an hour and a half to get here from Daly waters. It’s a really nice caravan park we all like it the best so far.

While mum and dad were setting up the camper van, Holly, Sam and I went for a walk around a track called rainbow springs loop. As we walked around it we saw the thermal pool which had the rainbow spring going through it, the water was really clear even though it had a sandy bottom.

There was another river but this river was dirty and it was much bigger it was called the Waterhouse river. After we came back the whole family got in their Bathers and we all went for a swim. The pool was really hot and it was 33 degrees it is like being in a tropical rain forest. Sam loved the water he was going nuts and didn’t want to come out.

While we were eating dinner there were wallabies and peacocks that were stealing our food, we could also pat them and hand feed them. This place is awesome. Tomorrow we are going to swim at Bitter Springs.

Bye Max

    1. It’s been great Ethan, Max even found the peacocks sitting high in the trees in the dark when he was going to the toilet. We had no idea that they slept high on tree branches.
