Yesterday we collected our rental cars. They are really luxurious vans. 7 in each car. We drove to Yosemite it was an interesting drive. Adam turning wind wipers on instead of blinkers. It was really exciting seeing the beautiful countryside. We stopped in Yosemite to eat at the oldest saloon in America it was awesome. Stuffed deer and moose and bears on the walls. We stayed at a great motel clean with a nice pool. The setting beautiful.
We had a really early night as this morning we were in our cars at 7am off to Yosemite national park to do some walks. Omg the views where amazing. Like we have never seen before. Mountains everywhere water falls. We did a couple of awesome bush walks. Looking out for wildlife. Today we have seen. Coyotes , chipmunks, squirrels, deer. Max in his element. He has been spotting them all. We haven’t seen a mountain lion or a bear yet but hoping to see some tonight. We have just arrived at Mammoth Lakes. Th drive was beautiful we are in shorts and t-shorts but still snow remaining from Winter so we had a snow ball fight. This place would look spectacular in winter. I think the last couple of days have Definitely been a highlight. We love the countryside. The roads have been fantastic so smooth. We can see the mountains from our bedroom window. Heaps of photos today but here is a few.

San Francisco
Arrived a couple of days ago in San Francisco. An enjoyable 1 hour flight from LA. We pulled up in front of our accommodation and Sam yelled out “omg we are staying at the tower of terror” lol. The facade was being renovated and it looked like a construction site but to our surprise once inside the Motel was really nice, beautiful pool, clean rooms. We walked down to the wharf and found a really cool pub that had a beer garden with lawn bowls outside and inside a games arcade with 10pin bowling. So that’s where our day started and ended. Lots of cocktails yummy food and bowling. 6 hours later and too many cocktails luckily we had the kids and nana and pa there to get us all home safely. Lol.
Day 2 started with a big breakfast. We’ve had had some yummy food here at San Fran so much nicer than La, we went on a Ferry to Alcatraz. We did an audio tour which was fantastic even the kids enjoyed it as it was really interesting and a little like a treasure hunt. Kevin loved all the history so I think it has been his favorite day. Ferry back to mainland we walked around the shops all on although the wharfs lots of entertainment and fresh produce. Love this place would have to be my favorite spot so far. Safe to say we ate and drunk our way through San Francisco.
Hiring a car today and driving to Yosimite. Eeekk this is going to be interesting. Sorry about the slow blogs. Huge days. Hope all is well in Aus. Pen
Transformers
Day 6 – Universal Studios
Another big day today at Universal Studios. Managed to get all the rides in as well as an awesome Studio Tour. The most amazing ride would have to be Transformers although The Mummy is pretty creepy which made it really cool too. The Water World show was fantastic with some awesome stunts. Could have spent a few more hours there as our bus came at 6:00pm but 8:00pm would Have been better.
The Harry Potter new attraction is great. A whole street of Harry Potter with wand shop, Lolly shop just to name a few. Great ride too, we were flying along side Harry it is amazing how they do these rides. The money spent is out of this world. Photos just don’t do it justice.
Flying out tomorrow to San Fran. Looking forward to it. Xxx

Day 5 – La Tour
We did a La tour yesterday. So much to see so little time. Some highlights were Santa Monica Pier (needed longer) Hollywood walk of fame and we loved driving through Beverly Hills looking at the amazing houses.
Our tour guide went above and beyond stopping in freeways so we could get photos. We went to the Farmers Market for lunch so finally saw some good fresh American produce, ate heaps Adam buying a box of donuts. Home at 7:30!!
Day 4 – Disneyland
Another 12 hours spent at Disney land today, feel like we were really productive today, we all choose our favorite rides and did them again and also doing a couple of new ones. Sam’s highlight was meeting THE REAL Captain America and Spider-Man, they were super cool. We met some American policeman who were very keen to pose in a photo with us, love their black uniforms and their cars are still like something from the Dukes of Hazards. We finally managed to get to the souvenir stores, ice cream and confectionary stores. All so gorgeous.
The queues were great today as it was overcast and we had slight drizzle which worked in our favor. Ride wait times were so much better.
It was sad leaving the gates of Disneyland today for the last time. It has been the best fun. More than we could have imagined but I think that’s because all five of us love the rides we conquered every ride and had so many laughs doing it. Some of the roller coasters we did with no hands…!!!! It really is a land of dreams for the little ones. Although Sam may not remember it all as he gets older, his face over the last couple of days has been priceless.
Bye Disneyland
Day 3 Disneyland
Another early start for day two at Disneyland. Soooo much to see , you could stay here for a week and I’m sure there would still be things you miss. Some highlights today would be, Star Wars, splash mountain, Hyperspace and Indiana Jones. So much work goes into every ride they are unbelievable and although so many people, the rides are run so smoothly that we haven’t waited more than 30mims for a ride today. And even when In the queues there is things to look at. We can’t believe how
Many rides Sam is able to go on. Some really scary roller coasters, tower of terror, Rides that adults come off pale white he wants to go again. Super dare devil which has been hilarious. I think so far between the two theme parks his missed out on only 2 rides which is pretty remarkable. Must say the food here is very average. Everything so processed full of sugar and salt. We are all craving fruit and veg. It makes you appreciate how yummy our fresh produce is in Aus. Our last day tomorrow at Disneyland. The rides are definitely our favorite thing. Nana has gone on every ride so far except the tower of terror. Her screams are pretty funny keeps us all laughing. Just a couple of pics. Kim taking photos on her camera so I have been very slack with the phone.
Day 2 Disneyland
Well what an amazing day, up at 6:30 for a 9:00 start at Disney California Adventure Park. Amazing rides everything amazing. It exceeded all out expectations. Our favorite rides Cars, flying one? , California Screamer. We crossed over to Disneyland at 5:00 to do a couple of rides and watch the spectacular parade and fireworks. Fireworks unbelievable Back to the resort at 10:30pm. Huge day, huge crowds but queues moved surprisingly quickly and loved the fast past. Sam favorite ride Tower Or a Terror., this place is a dream come true for Sam as eveything is based around the young ones. We LOVE Disneyland. It truly is the happiest place in the world. Backing it up with another day tomorrow!!!!
